A Student Development Experience in a Development Context

Jino Langu Nani Scott (HAHA)

The title of this post translates to “My teeth are Scott.” Oh how the women at UMATU laughed when I attempted to introduce myself in Kiswahili. What I should have said was “Jina langu nani Scott” – “My name is Scott.”

Learning Kiswahili has been a process of trial and error thus far. It is quite the contrast to the book worming I do at university. I must say it has been more engaging and a lot more entertaining.

May the learning experience continue…
