Mallory is graduating from the Faculty of Human Ecology with a major in Textile Science. This will be her first trip to Africa. Her personal mission statement speaks to her passion for learning, her desire to experience Tanzanian culture, and her hope to see - firsthand - the impact of development work and the positive outcomes that communties are able to achieve.
Scott has just completed his third year in the Faculty of Arts majoring in Global Politcal Economy. Scott expects to learn new ways of seeing and knowing, to grow in confidence and ability through his travels, and to develop rewarding relationships based on mutuality and commonality.
Jacklynn will be completing her degree in Psychology in the Faculty of Arts. She has travelled in Europe and has spent 3 months on exchange in Korea. She expects to apply her skills and talents, gain knowledge that she can't get at home, and to 'do-no-harm' to others in the process. Jacklynn wants to get a first-hand and hands-on perspective on international development work.
Katherine is also graduating from the Faculty of Arts with a major in Global Political Economy. Her previous adventures include travel in Australia and South East Asia. She knows that she will need to approach this experience with an open heart and mind and to be prepared for the unexpected. She expects to learn from the people of Karatu and Bunda and to contribute in a positive but realistic way.
